Pearl, a town in the state of Mississippi only five kilometers from Jackson's capital city and part of its metropolitan statistical area, is located on the east side of Pearl River.

This small town has a rich history dating back to 1884, founded by two men who wanted to build a mill along the river. The population grew quickly as people moved there for work at the mill, and later other businesses opened up in town. Today, this historic community still thrives, with many shops and restaurants lining its streets. It's also home to several festivals throughout the year, including one celebrating crawfish!
